National School Lunch Week

We love our Nutrition Services staff! They work hard every single day to serve fresh, healthy, and nutritious meals for breakfast and lunch. It's National School Lunch Week, and we celebrate them all!

Jr. High AVID Visits OSU

Our Cascade Junior High School AVID class had a great visit to Oregon State University!

Seeing what college is like is one way we help each student find the future path that fits them best.

Homecoming Coronation

It's Homecoming Week at Cascade High School!

Tuesday was the Coronation Assembly, when the whole school and families of the members of the court gathered as the court was introduced.

Congratulations to all! You can see many more pictures on our Facebook page.

Aumsville Elementary Bike and Walk

One of the fun things each fall is Aumsville Elementary's bike and walk day! The 3rd-5th graders got to ride to the Aumsville Fire Department Wednesday morning; the 1st and 2nd graders ride around the school; and walkers get to walk through the neighborhood. You can see many more pictures on our Facebook page.

Huge thank you to the Aumsville Police Department for escorting our students and keeping us safe, and to the Aumsville Fire Department for welcoming students in on the sunny but brisk morning!

Lip Sync Contest for Homecoming

Each of the four classes did a lip sync in an assembly on Wednesday, around the HoCo theme of "Monster Mash." It was great fun!

The junior class ended up winning the contest this year, and everyone had a great time. You can see many more pictures on our Facebook page.

High School Class Participates in Sports Live Show

Mr. Lowder took his Intro to Sports Media class to tour and experience the StudentU program at the University of Oregon. This was hands-on learning at its best!

Students got to see what went behind producing a live sports program, and most got to participate in a "live show," where each student was responsible for a job. The show was recorded and the students will get to see a copy of the recording soon!

"Harvest of the Month"

Our Nutrition Staff highlights a "Harvest of the Month" as a way to give our students healthy, fresh food. It's National School Lunch Week, but this is the kind of thing our staff does year around!

October's harvest vegetable is broccoli, and today students are getting roasted broccoli with cheese. They also learn fun facts about the food!

"Oregon Fun Fact: Oregon farmers grow broccoli in the cooler coastal areas, where it loves the misty mornings.

Nutrition Fact: Broccoli is packed with vitamin C, which helps your body fight off colds."
