Oregon law establishes boards of directors for local school districts. The Cascade School District Board is a five-member body. Each board member is elected by local voters to serve a four-year term without pay. Terms of office commence and expire with the district's fiscal year (July 1) and are staggered so that no more than three positions become vacant in the same year. Officers of the board are elected annually at the July board meeting. The board is a policy-making body and maintains an administrative staff to implement policy and procedures.
The Cascade School Board meets on the second Monday of each month at 7 p.m. in the district office unless otherwise posted.
