Cascade Opportunity Center Facilities Assessment

Did you know the Cascade Opportunity Center is in the old West Stayton School?

Our Opportunity Center gives personalized attention to students who need an alternative to the high school. As with any old building, there are needs to address. This video shows some of the highlights from our recent assessment.

Financial Audit Complete for 2024-25

Director of Finance William Wang sent this good news about the completed audit for the 2024-25 school year here at Cascade:

"Dear Cascade School District Staff and Community,

I’m pleased to share that our FY 2024–25 financial audit has been completed and officially filed with the Oregon Secretary of State on time.

The auditors issued an unmodified (clean) opinion, meaning the district’s financial statements are presented fairly and in accordance with all applicable accounting standards. There were no material weaknesses, no significant deficiencies, and no compliance issues identified. The completed audit can be found on our website.

This outcome reflects the hard work, professionalism, and attention to detail of our Fiscal Services team, as well as the strong collaboration across departments. Preparing for and completing an audit is a year-round effort, and this successful result would not be possible without timely documentation, accurate reporting, and responsive support from many staff members.

Thank you to everyone who contributed, especially our Fiscal Office staff, Jenna, Katie, and Nick, for their dedication to strong stewardship of district resources and for everyone's supporting transparency and accountability on behalf of our students, staff, and community.

If you have any questions about the audit or our financial reporting, please feel free to reach out.
Sincerely,
William (Haofeng) Wang
Director of Finance"
